Where do You Want to Build Your New Home?

Sydney offers new homeowners a range of lifestyle options from suburb to suburb. So, how do you narrow down the list of potential suburbs for your new home? We have put together three quick tips to help.

1. Work and School

The first consideration is what suburb you currently work in and where your children go to school. How far are you willing to travel to and from work each day? Open up Google Maps and start exploring or call us for suburbs we would recommend considering.

2. Budget

As land and building prices vary across the Sydney region, the next consideration is budget. If you have your heart set on a particular suburb where there is little land available, a knockdown rebuild may be an option.

According to statistical research from 2021, land prices in Sydney are one of the highest in Australia. The average cost of land per square metre is said to be $1,501. In southern Sydney, the average lot size is between 600 and 800 square metres. However, the average Australian land lot size is significantly smaller at 420 square metres.

If you have a small, narrow, or oddly shaped block, you may still be able to build a spacious house for your family. Contact the Clover Homes team to discuss floor plans for your new home.

3. Lifestyle

For singles and couples who want to be in the midst of city life, being as close to the city centre would be the dream. Inner-city land is rare to find. Again, it may be worth looking at knockdown rebuilds. As many inner-city homes are heritage listed or have strict rules on aesthetics and style, you are going to need builders you can rely on 100%. We can certainly help with a new home build that upholds your suburb’s heritage requirements while still giving you a new home with modern amenities.

If you are dreaming of a sea breeze, building towards the coast would be ideal. For homes that will stand the test of time (and the salty air), Clover Homes are your builders of choice. We can also collaborate with you to design a gorgeous beach home that invites in the beautiful sea breeze and perfectly frames beach views.
